Activity Checks

How It Works

Our in-depth activity checks include a “cold call” visit, a neighborhood inquiry, interview of the claimant if found to be at home, a detailed narrative report including professional impression and recommendations for follow up.    We also offer a diaried activity check, performed automatically on a periodic basis.  Our clients have found this especially useful in classified claims (either direct or pretext). 

Our available services also include the alternative of direct Alive and Well checks.

The Request Process

We are proud of our reputation of great success when it comes to requesting medical records.  Our professional office staff is well-versed in the requirements of requesting medical records from all medical providers including hospitals, doctors and other institutions.  We follow through with our requests on very close diary until all documentation has been received. We are relentless in our efforts to take our task to a successful conclusion.    When received, the records are thoroughly reviewed and a synopsis of the contents provided to you in writing.  We follow up with any leads that may come to light in the review process.

Procedural Knowledge

We are well-versed in the rules and procedures of the NYS Workers' Compensation Board in conjunction with HIPAA requirements to obtain copies of Board files.
Our field representatives always have OC-110A forms on hand should a claimant describe a previous (or subsequent) Workers’ Compensation claim during an interview. We are fully knowledgeable regarding the method required to obtain copies of Board files.

Subpoena Service

Professionalism

We have a subpoena department created for the sole purpose of service of subpoenas -- Workers' Compensation subpoenas (subpoenas duces tecum) as well as judicial subpoenas.
Following proper service, the affidavit of service is prepared and transmitted electronically to the Workers’ Compensation Board and all necessary parties.
